Metzdorf appealed twice and on Friday learned that he would be allowed to stay in the Army and with his unit. The article isn't written very well, but this sentence, from early in the article sounds like he did get the okay to stay in.

And yet another POSITIVE story that the MSM is totally ignoring. This brave soldier came very close to loosing his life, actually paid with part of his body, and yet wants right back into active duty.
