Yep, pumping money into the economy to prop it up through the education system while people are being put out on the street more and more. Seems they decided to experiment with the notion at first to see if they could get away with it. Now they're going great guns ahead trying to see who can screw more americans sooner for their stock price. Thing I'm waiting to see is corporatization of the higher education system so they can screw people more thoroughly.
It wouldn't be too likely to happen unless you could garauntee constant herds of their "cattle" running through it with no choice.. and they're trying to tell us there is no choice while hacking the floor of the gallows from beneath us.
Ever hear of the University of Phoenix?
That IS a 'corporatized school.' Currently under a few investigations, paid a few fines and penalties, (minor fraud and deception stuff.)
Only problem is that the 'regular' universities aren't really spending money on teaching--they're spending it on administration, not to mention buildings.
Stick around. It's called No Child Left Behind. It's going to do to the suburban good public schools what forced bussing in the 1970s did to good inner city public schools. Then the for-profit educrats (as opposed to the public school educrats) will be right in there ready to lap up the gov't contracts.
