The polls said Chavez was behind by 20 points until election day. He then won by 20 points. So yes anything is possible.
To: MindBender26
If the polls say that Bush is leading by 99%, I'm still going to vote.

That is also what I fear the most. If Bush is not behind the helm these next 4 years-America will be plunged into the "darkest Years" it has ever known.

Good points. Turnout for Republicans is critical, and if I was running the show I would be reminding people every day of how close the Democrats came to stealing the last Presidential election

I do not think anyone is taking this for granted. Ditto. I think most here are "broken-glass" Republicans. At least, I am.

Absolutely.
We have to get out every vote we can to overcome all the dead Democrats, as well as the thousands of mental patients who will be bussed to voting booths and instructed to push the button next to the "D."
And, of course, the many homeless who will vote for Kerry in exchange for a pack of smokes.

All the scenarios I see for Bush losing have to do with various means of vote fraud. And that is very frightening. How do we combat it though? That's the mystery for many decades it seems.

Yes we can. The fact the race has tightened should help in thwarting complacency and overconfidence. It will motivate our side to get out and VOTE. That's the important thing. If we believe this election in the bag, that's when we could have an unpleasant surprise. We have to work for our victory. Now LET'S ROLL!!!

...various means of vote fraud.Yeah, and then there's Diana Kerry over in Australia rallying the "Americans Abroad" vote while enouraging Australians to pull out of the coalition.

The polls said Chavez was behind by 20 points until election day. He then won by 20 points. So yes anything is possible. Especially since the same people are "monitoring" this election...
To: MindBender26
Last week the MSM came out in full force against the President.
They've decided to ignore memogate and how it might tie to the Kerry campaign; they've decided to ignore the lack of substance with regard to Kerry's 4 point plan to win the WOT; they've decide to ignore Kerry's Senate record (or lack there of); and they've decided to undermine the President with constant attacks to undermine and question his credibility.
Can we lose?
With attacks coming from both the WOT front in Iraq and the medias minions, and lets not forget the DNC voter fraud to come, the answer is a resounding yes.

I haven't seen much complacency here at FR (with a few exceptions). But I agree--the worst thing we can do is act as if we can't lose. Because we can.

How do we combat it though? That's the mystery for many decades it seems. It is not a mystery, we combat it by making sure the President wins by an unquestionable margin. That is done by spending all the time we can spare at our local Republican Headquarters, making phone calls, knocking on doors, or whatever else needs to be done.
