This is exactly what I have said. Kerry talks about allies, but when someone really needs us they aren't "good enough" to be our friends. If they are under attack, they don't deserve help because they "don't understand democracy."
If it were true that the Iraqis didn't understand democracy, then the terrorists would just lay low and wait for us to leave. Then they would make their move. They are acting now because they are afraid that once the Iraqis vote it will be too late. Even the terrorists understand democracy!
Kerry trashed the S. Vietnamese by saying they were drunks who shot at him. He called te S. Vietnamese leaders corrupt but never noted the bloody purges in the North. He made false allegations about rroutine war crimes by American soldiers. He parroted all the communist propaganda of the time.
The truth is that he isn't going to get the Russians, French or Germans on board in Iraq. They were getting money from the Oil for Food program. Saddam's corruption served them. The slavery and degredation of the Iraqi people served them.
I'll take the Brits, Italians, Poles, (and Aussies) any day over the three aforementioned.
