Good-ol' Seattle P-I.
Without their name, they'd have no intelligence at all.

No, we get the ocean access through Central and Souv'rn California. We will also make an acquisition of totally vacant territory where those states previously stood after the North Koreans get done with them.
All we have to do is build a big fence and shoot them down at the border if they try to flee into our country!

Seattle would support Lenin, but not the rest of the state.

Here's what we do and how we pull it off: We secede. That's right, we leave the United States and become our own nation. Not forever, just for four years, then we apologize and rejoin the union.
No, make it permanent.

one the liberals would not, could not, win...Liberals don't believe in firearms, and if you put one in their hands, they wouldn't know which end the bullet comes out of. So you're right, they couldn't win.

I think he is referring to the Starbucks headquarters being in Washington. Not sure exactly where it is in Washington.....probably downtown Seattle.

Didn't I just read another thread about 10 earthquakes at Mount St Helen? What will he say God's reason will be when it erupts? Like God is actually sending people messages by causing natural disasters.

Which is why I'm almost ready to agree with this guy and tell him to go for it...
But, I gott invest in some Caterpillar Stock first, cuz sales will go through the roof ;0)

The smarmy elitism in this article is absolutely stunning, not to mention a complete failure in logic.
I realize this is just a joke, or a socialist blowing hot air, but if far left states want to leave the union we shouldn't be the ones to stop them. They would starve on their own demand for government services, and despite the claims that Seattle has things that everyone "needs", Americans would be moving to other options faster than you can say "Welkome Komrade."

Why GIVE AWAY anything? Agreed. Perhaps a conservative Shermanesque march to the Pacific is in order here. Why abdicate anything to these left wing nut job bastards?

Look for more of this wackiness.
The Democrat party will not go quietly into the night.
This is right in there with demanding proportional representation by popular vote.
Proportional electoral assignement to eliminate the electoral college and ignore flyover country.
Perhaps they would feel more comfortable living in FRANCE.

No doubt they were educated at superior institutions like Harvard and Yale. (Not Penn State.) It's worse than that. University of Washington and Evergreen State College.

"Brad Upton just celebrated his 20th year as a stand-up comedian and 48th year as a resident of Cascadia." I've got a better idea---let Brad Upton and the rest of the liberals pick up and move to British Columbia. That way, they can enjoy the same climate, and reap the benefits of the socialism they are trying to cram down the throats of the rest of us.
To: Publius
Not a bad idea. But what about states reclaiming some of the power that's been abdicated to the Fed gov't? States tax themselves for almost all of their needs, instead of sending it to DC, and trying to get most of it back. That way you don't have some farmer in Utah paying taxes to put more cops on the street in New York.
