Martin Luther King was not assured a long happy life, but he did what had to be done. Are you telling me there is not a Muslim out there who thinks this cause is greater then themselves? There is no one who can rally the communities to save the culture? Imagine if everyone who was afraid never acted for what was right? This behind the scenes cooperation just attacks the symptom. The Muslim community must band together to cure the illness.
I will also note that I see many being out spoken against profiling. If they want to help through silence, let it be on both ends. We, as a nation founded on sacrifice, cannot accept there fear as a legitimate argument in fighting the war on terror. I know there are thousands of soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq rising above fear to protect us from this insidious evil and I would expect nothing less from the Muslim communities.
