Bravo, Steyn..!
I agree, all he has to do is look in the mirror!
(Kerry) has a very strong ability to take any point that you make and turn it in another direction, even back against you. He's also grandmaster at the art of changing a subject without really appearing to change the subject.
"The senator is also impossible to fluster, adds Payne, who worked on three of Kerry's campaigns. "He will never appear at a loss for words, even when he gets blindsided.
Good read.
Summarizing the Kerry campaign.
That's it.
I'm subscribing to the Chicago Sun-Times!
Steyn just keeps cranking them out. This is solid gold material.
Right. That describes the characteristics of an accomplished liar.
Fantasy Debate:
Bush: Senator Kerry, your position on Iraq is a disgrace to any sane person.
But apparently you now believe Iraq is being overrun with terrorists.
I think they were there in the first place, but anyway you look at it, we now agree we found them in Iraq.
Since you say you will go after terrorists, will you also now stand with me in Iraq to pursue and destroy them?
Kerry: Ha, ha! Let me make it perfectly clear. I have always believed, and I've said so from the beginning. This was the wrong war, the wrong choice, the wrong decision. And I wouldn't have done one thing differently - I would have done everything differently.
Bush: Botox boy! Pay attention! Senator, now that we know where the terrorists are, will you NOW stand with me to help destroy them?
Kerry: I know something about destroying the enemy. I was riding in the Mekong Delta when...
Another great Mark Steyn column!
"..in today's Ratherized media"...hee-hee..delighted to see Danny-boy has become an adjective.
If Mark Steyn can speak off the cuff half as well as he can write, and given his prolificness, I think he can, one of the cable news channels needs to snap him up and give him a primetime show pronto. I'd suggest FOX, but they have a pretty full lineup. There are people there I'd like to see him replace, but I don't think it is a pressing need. CNN could do well by him, and his 'international' Brit/Canadian/American perspective sould fit, but I think they are too snobbish and parachial to consider it. MSNBC is a good bet. They are floundering pretty bad and need something good desperately....and Steyn is definitely good.
"What a small, graceless man Kerry is"
Steyn says it all.
Another Steyn classic!
Some call it rope-a-dope - I see it this way:
sKerry is a typical 'east coast a**hole' - blunt and rude and insulting. (No offense meant to all my Yankee friends and family)
President Bush is a typical 'southern gent' - polite to a fault - goes out of his way not to call anyone a bad name, especially in public.
It's frustrating to watch sKerry, and the MSM biased reporting of, criticize Bush and our country's efforts for his personal gain.
It is also frustrating to watch our Commander in Chief not respond, or call sKerry what he really is, a traitorous narcissist who's actions and words demoralize our troops and support our enemies in a time of war.
Enough ranting - It's great to read Stern calling it like he sees it.
Mark Steyn could and should replace ... Bill O'Reilley. He appears to be tilting towards the BS company, recent comments about Dan Rather and his coming 60 minutes interview by Mike Wallace. I'd say Mark Steyn or Laura Ingraham. BO'R has lost it and appears bored about anything other than self-promotion. I frankly dont have the time and only catch parts of his show by accident anymore.
That's why I recently bought an anthology of his columns. Reading it is such a pleasure, for its concise and excellent writing as well as the zingers he puts on the pompous.
EXACTLY! Even when he doesn't KNOW an answer, he spews out anything so the audience THINKS he's smart and knows all the answers. In other words: FnKerry is a BIG BULL CHITTER!
