Hatfield still has an incredible following in Oregon and in the Portland area. To them Hatfield is still the uber senator.

Senator Hatfield was also distinguished as a pro-life US Senator throughout his tenure in the Senate and as a supporter of private ownership of gold.

Poor Mark Hatfield. He got booted from the Senate for chasing a woman around his desk. I agree that sexual harrassment should not be tolerated! That was Bob Packwood.
