ARLINGTON, VA - Today, Bush-Cheney '04 announced the release of the campaign's newest radio ad, "Values."  The 60-second ad highlights the commitment of the President and Congressional leaders to honoring the values of faith, economic opportunity and educational excellence that are so dear to the hearts of African Americans across our country. “Values” is being broadcast on African American radio stations in Florida, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.  This is the campaign's second African American radio buy.  The first ad, "Very Busy Man", ran in Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin in July.

Script for "Values"

VO:
I love my husband and I'm proud of him, but that doesn't mean we always agree on every issue.  But we do agree when it comes to the most important issues... providing a better education and life for my kids.

So as I've thought about this election... I realized I'm tired of being taken for granted by John Kerry and his allies in Congress...
And while I don't always agree with President Bush and our leaders in Congress, I do find myself agreeing with them on the values that are most important to my family...
Equal opportunity... to choose a better school and free my children from our failing neighborhood school... support for our faith based organizations we turn to, to help people around here in times of need...tax relief for our hard-working family... tax relief that's actually allowed us to put college money away for our kids, which we could never do before.
These are the things that matter most to my family and why I'm supporting our leaders in Congress... and President Bush.

President Bush:
I'm George W. Bush and I approve this message.

VO:
Paid for by Bush-Cheney '04, Inc. and the Republican National Committee.

Blacks are slowly beginning to rethink their slavish connection to the rats.

This may be kerry's legacy. I have several Black friends who say that they have always been Democrats, but they're waiting until after the debates to decide what to do this year. Bush, kerry, and not voting are options they're considering.

Once people consider, or actually do vote, for the "other party", it's not such a sure thing that they will have such blind party loyalty anymore. The Dems will have a hard time for years if they lose the Black loyalty vote this year.

I don't think you understand the degree of animosity and acrimony toward Bush even among middle class blacks.Give the Bush-Cheney team a plus for making the effort but the Demo machine will end up getting 95% of the AA vote. Not trying to be negative, just realistic.

I think you're wrong about middle class blacks. Don't believe polls either, paticularly exit polls, peer pressure is enormous among blacks. A black person would be the first to pull the lever for Bush and then walk outside and lie about it to a pollster or his friends.
