As the mother of a severely mentally and physically disabled 20 year old who neither walks nor talks nor feeds herself, and must wear diapers (and who used to have a feeding tube and be on a ventilator for 3 years), I say that you are EXACTLY CORRECT!!!
Terri is being discriminated against---solely because of her disability!!! That violates the ADA!!!!!
I agree. I think we've met each other on the Terri threads before. I have two very, very good friends who I always think of when I think of Terri. One good friend has a daughter in her mid twenties who is severely disabled, can't care for herself at all, wears diapers, can't speak or feed herself, although she can walk of a sort.
For years they thought she was mentally retarded as well and could not understand speech. Turns out she can understand almost all conversation around her. She has gone through a complete personality change - when she was very young, she was angry, mean (bit and pinched her mother mercilessly) and had tantrums. After years of unconditional love, prayer meetings, and a lot of prayerful singing, the girl is totally changed. She is affectionate, cheerful, and loves nothing better than to be up close to the singer and musical instruments. She is a joy to be around.
The infatuation with death that characterizes the left - whether it be doctor assisted suicide, "euthanasia", using aborted baby tissure for research or other ghoulish medical uses, abortion, or legalization and normalization of sodomy - all comes from the same fault.
The desire to be God and make the rules, instead of acknowledging God and following His rules. Out of envy, they love death, since they can't create life.
