FYI PING.......................
YAY!!!
No more gloomy NIE's now! We got a Bush guy at the CIA.!!!
Cool!
Finally some good news!
We are all a little safer tonight.
According to FOXNews.com's biography, Ofrom 1971-1974, Goss was a community newspaper publisher. They include a bland transcript of Goss's comments to the 9/11 commission about intelligence community reform. I call it bland because it appears to lack detail. It could mean anything.
At insightmag.com, Richard Sale cites several CIA insiders who also contribute a picture of blandness.
What I would hope for is an end to political correctness. The enemy is here, and he's abroad. He's smart, bold, brave, and persistent. We have to find a way to fight back like a sledge hammer while ultimately hitting just the right targets. Can a Goss steer our CIA in the right direction? I wish him luck.
I am sure we will see an improvement from, George Rodham Tenent's reign of do nothing. President Bush should have fired him from day 1. Left-over klintoon appointees operate the same as Hitler's Werewolf minions. Time will enlighten us my friend and may his job performance reflect well on the USA. Today I saved a wounded possum's life,(I ran over a democrat.) Bush/Cheney 2004
You could be right. I'm half hoping to see things improving all over the planet now that Tennet is gone. The CIA seems to have done the Bush presidency a lot of disservices, and therefore the American people who elected him as our commander in chief. I hope the damage was all done pre-9/11 and the road is ever onward and upward from here.
You want 'em sugar-coated?
I wish him luck but I suspect he will have his hands full. The type of culture that led to the intelligence failures before 9-11 is well entrenched and will take a Herculean effort to dislodge.
Amen to that. The removal of a cancerous growth ie; klintoon appointees will rejuvenate the body. Eight years of do nothing and oval office sexual services enabled 9/11. Liberals cannot be trusted with our national security. It takes a real man and leader. President Bush is the man and the leader. Bush/Cheney 2004
Not sugar coated. The last one is BS though. The President and Allawi said things are improving over there. The NIE from July said things are as good as they will get and can easily get worse. Who you going to believe? Our President or the national intelligence community? Given the choice, I will belive the Pres. every time.
