Journalism schools across the nation are going to give CBS its own legacy as a required course in ethics for anyone wanting a diploma.

My daughter is a Media Fellow in one of the finest programs in the country. So far there has been nothing but support for CBS and case is used as an example of "Journalistic Courage [sic]." Don't bet theis wille ver be taught as a "what not to do" case in any J School in the country.

You are absolutely correct...as a J-school grad (and recovering reporter), this is not surprising. Journalism professors are among the most liberal on any college campus (and that says a lot). How many op-eds have you seen by J-school profs criticizing CBS News? Did you really expect to see any? In fact, the journalistic elites are still trying to float the trial ballooon that the CBS report was accurate, despite being based on fraudulent documents (?)

As my friends in Texas would say, that defense flunks the Aggie test, but never fear: the CBS News scandal is well on its way to becoming the next liberal urban myth, in the same league as "Alger Hiss was innocent," or "the CIA is selling crack cocaine in the ghetto," or "the GOP disenfranchised millions of black voters in 2000." As a service to our synapse-challenged counterparts at the DNC, I'll even offer some explanations for Rathergate, that will become part-and-parcel of Democratic spin. Pick your favorite:

1. It was a set-up by the GOP to sabatoge the Kerry Campaign

2. It was a Republican frame job to "get" Dan Rather, in retaliation for his confrontation with Richard Nixon.

3. Bill Burkett was a Republican "plant."

4. It was a Republican dirty trick to sabatoge Kerry, get Dan Rather, disenfranchise millions of minority voters, deny abortion rights, run up the national debt, and steal the election for George W. Bush.

Go ahead, suspend reality and decide which liberal lie will be used to explain this one away...

Your daughter needs to turn her books in and get herself a pair of pajamas. She could be the new Buckhead'ess instead of just another name with the old media. :o)

I'm certain you are proud of her abilities - good for you all!!
