Are you talking about Daniel Pearl?
Daniel Pearl was with the Wall St. Jouranl and was kidnapped in Pakistan.
What's up with Mama "T"? Do you think she might be trying to "buy" Bin Laden? She keeps hinting at a Bin Laden Oct. surprise.
Damnation
Gematria value: 626
in Rom. 13:2, means "condemnation," which comes on those who withstand God's ordinance of magistracy. This sentence of condemnation comes not from the magistrate, but from God, whose authority is thus resisted.
In 1 Cor. 11:29 (R.V., "judgment") this word means condemnation, in the sense of exposure to severe temporal judgements from God, as the following verse explains.
In Rom. 14:23 the word "damned" means "condemned" by one's own conscience, as well as by the Word of God. The apostle shows here that many things which are lawful are not expedient; and that in using our Christian liberty the question should not simply be, Is this course I follow lawful? but also, Can I follow it without doing injury to the spiritual interests of a brother in Christ? He that "doubteth", i.e., is not clear in his conscience as to "meats", will violate his conscience "if he eat," and in eating is condemned; and thus one ought not so to use his liberty as to lead one who is "weak" to bring upon himself this condemnation.
I think you're right! :)
Thanks for the ping!
Psychological warfare
Stunned or not, should have happened last spring in faluwatever.
The Council of Nicea decided in favor of the Trinity doctrine in 325 AD, but three following councils decided against it. This controversy went on for over twenty years. Emperor Theodosius ruled that the Nicene Creed would be official in the Holy Roman Empire in 381 AD, but by that time Christianity had spread well beyond the boundaries of the Empire. Christians outside the Empire weren't bound to follow the Emperor's ruling and Judeo-Christian beliefs remained intact.
Enter Muhammad, born in Makkah (Mecca), far beyond the reaches of the Church. The Qur'an states that Islam started with Abraham and that they are descended from him. Muhammad was only a messenger, a prophet, preserving Islamic traditions in the Qur'an. Muhammad claimed that the angel Gabriel (yes, that same Gabriel) appeared to him and told him that Allah was the only god. Moreover, Muhammad (as written in the Qur'an) recognized Jesus as the Messiah.
Given the Qur'an's statements regarding the nature of God, it's likely that Muhammad had learned something about non-Trinitarian Judeo-Christian beliefs, being outside the influence of the now Trinitarian church. Hence, in Muhammad's view, the Trinitarian Church was a corruption what he learned to be the foundation of truth regarding God. Additionally, the veneration of the Cross, something that early Christians did not do, was considered to be idolatry by Muhammad.
All three religions are inextricably connected, but basic differences in belief separate them. Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah. Christians vary widely in belief, but most hold to the Trinity and the cross. Muslims recognize Jesus as the Messiah, but hold Muhammad as God's most recent messenger/prophet. Hence, we have a very strange relationship between Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
Oh that's right. Wrong person.
I once read where some good ol' boy had been thrown out of Sunday school for trying to explain the Trinity as being "like 3-in-1 Oil". Ever since then, every time I hear about it, I start laughing so hard I can't even form a coherent opinion...
I thought I had bookmarked it and can't find it. Does anybody have access to that article. I think it needs to be posted a "couple" times.
Don't know of any articles I've seen posted about it, but I believe that during one of India's uprisings against the English in the late 19th/early 20th centuries, they used bullets dipped in pigs' blood as retaliation for the massacre of a British settlement. I forget exactly why that works with Hindus as well as Muslims, though.
What was your point?
That's what I mean. a massive army is good at keeping them in their holes. But, it takes special talents to find the snakes and kill them.
