I just watched the rerun of O'Reilly's 2001 interview with Kerry discussing the need to invade Iraq. In that interview, Kerry said the following: "I mean, I was in Safwan. I went there when the signing of the armistice took place at the end of the war." I've watched the video of the cease-fire signing at Safwan. It was still in a combat zone. I don't remember seeing anyone but military officers. Can anyone provide additional insight, or has Kerry lied again.

March 10th, 2004 article, not 2001, or 1991 where we're looking for. Though the lack of mention of a previous visit is handy.
I googled and couldn't find anything either. I have sent a tip to drudge about this.
I am beginning to believe Kerry had no reason to get up and run to Iraq around March 1....usually senators travel in well publized groups. Plus March was a busy month and no reason in the world for a anti-war senator to travel to iraq while it is still dangerous on such a short notice and the need to rush back so not miss his March 6 vote.
Kerry was no where near Iraq on March 3!!!

Yes, I know. My point was it made no mention of a previous trip to Iraq. Another article about Kerrys travel to Saudi Arabia mention when he was there previously.
:) Could be helpful re: previous visits. I'm still looking for references to March 1991 Senate delegation visits to Iraq. Is there any info regarding the committees on which sKerry sat in 1991?
