WASHINGTON Congress on Thursday approved a $145.9 billion package of tax relief to extend three popular middle-class tax cuts, giving President Bush his fourth major tax victory since taking office.
The Senate approved the measure 92-3 Thursday night less than an hour after it cleared the House by a similarly lopsided 339-65.

If AP got caught with their pants down and credited Bush with something the American people want, then good for us.
The AP was so focused on the war in Iraq that they didn't have time to spin the story. The same thing happened when we handed over authority to Iraq two days prior to the deadline. The press didn't have the time to spin the story and it caught them with their pants down again.
Liberals need to be told that they can absolutely choose to give their taxes back to the government.
The MSM really kept this quiet didn't they?
Amazing how many left wing rats in Congress didn't fight this during an election year!

All the more reason to give Bush the MANDATE he requested in 2000.
I believe very strongly that April 15 (or thereabouts) should be the Federal election day. If it were possible to do this, I believe it would be a stroke of genius on behalf of the Republicans to get it done.
