Disabled Arab Writer Overwhelmed by Hate Mail! (Free Republic mentioned
Al-Jazeerah ^ | September 23, 2004

Chicago, Illinois / Arab writer and Chicago resident Aladdin Elaasar is overwhelmed by the hateful responses his article on the third anniversary of 9/11 generated in the US. Mr. Elaasar wrote an article titled “Let’s not let fear cripple us” expressing the viewpoint of the Arab and Muslim communities in the US. The article was written for the Progressive Media project and distributed by the Knight Ridder/ Tribune Information Services. The article was published by six newspapers around the US and was posted online by the Free Republic, a self-declared conservative republican activism group in the US. Members of the Free Republic group poured their outright hatred and prejudice against the writer, Islam and Muslims in the USA.

The response of the members of the group has angered and saddened Arab and Muslim Americans. The group posted abrasive hateful commentary referring to Mr. Elaasar’s article and to Islam and Muslims in the US as follows: “There is no god but the moon demon allah and mo-ham-head (piss be upon him) is his prophet”, “Anyone who worships a demon via a book written by a mass murdering baby raper who says the way to heaven is to kill non believers, and that ragheads are the master race can go to hell”, “ There are no innocent muslims”, “If you don't like it, get the Hell out!”, “The people of this planet will only be safe when the lie that is islime is completely destroyed, burned with fire, and it's foul memory obliterated”.

Huh? No one is bigoted towards Muslims. We just hate the terrorists who are Muslims.

"And the general silence and lack of introspection and self-criticism only reinforces the suspicion that the overwhelming majority of them approve."

I haven't been isolated and your comments above are exactly what has eroded my desire to cut them some slack. My point being that after reaching as deeply into my Christian beliefs as I can, I am finally running out of patience. I felt I had to walk the walk and not just talk the talk...It's becoming apparent that time, and my patience, have all but run out of their capacity to tolerate Islam as a culture.

To paraphrase Forrest Gump, "Evil is as evil does."

Any thoughtful person who knows history and religion would be anti-Islam. Along with Communism, Naziism, and the Black Death, Islam has been responsible for more death and destruction on the face of the planet than just about anything else since the last asteroid impact. Islam was started by predators. It has spread by predation. It has lived off the decaying corpses of the civilizations it has destroyed. It is a vast, ancient sea of corruption, oppression, fanaticism, and ignorance lapping up against the shores of the present, kept alive by the fortuitous accident of living above huge reserves of petroleum.

I might add: "...handed to them, every single one of them, by the very powers they seek to destroy. It is not inconceivable that those same powers would take it all back, as they without doubt have the ability to do so, and the savage mindless sandmaggots do not realize this.
They had the opportunity to create a paradise for themselves, but chose instead mindlesss murder and permanent self-imposed victimhood.

Allah does not seem pleased.

We would be having no discussion here whatsoever, in that case.

I was talking about threatening and swearing at people......which is not permitted here and somehow we have a forum full of lively, in-depth, logical debate.

I wonder if they solicited any writings by any of the thousands of "Disabled Israeli" writers out there?

You know - the ones maimed by the Palestinian Moo cockroaches.

Islam: it's a Hell of a religion.

Crusades 2.0 can't get fired up soon enough; the beheadings and murder must stop NOW!

Proclamations like there are no innocent Muslims are counterproductive in the long term and needlessly inflammatory in the short term.

I am sorry, but if only 100 influential muslims out of a billion condemn their murdering brothers, it might stand to reason that functionally, for all practical purposes, if their mullahs are spouting hate from their mosques world-wide daily, "there are no innocent muslims" appears to be simply stating a fact.

Wrong. Anti-Muslim bigotry is alive and well on FR.

Wrong. But I don't feel like debating the meaning of the word with you.

Hatred of their actions, what they do, rather than what they say, justifies anything that can be written, and as far as I'm concerned, substantially more.

Dear Arab in a wheel chair...I tried to hear your voice through the Al Jazeera megaphone but I could not hear you or see you screaming about the insanity of it all. My eyes could only see this horror...

This is an excellent article about the History of Islam.

One exerpt:
Every Muslim claims that Islam is the religion of peace... however, here is another opinion by The Hadith of Muhammed: "Fighting and Sacred Rage in the Cause of Allah (Jihad): War, killing, and rage were the foundation of Islam, and it is the same to this hour in the heart of Ghadaffi, Saddam Hussein, and Osama Bin Laden. Islam is a religion of death and killing for their god."

Proclamations like there are no innocent Muslims are counterproductive in the long term and needlessly inflammatory in the short term.

Let's assume I'm a nice guy. I work, love my kids, I'm charitable, don't beat my wife etc.

But I identify myself as a member of religion that preaches intolerance for all other religions, that decrees an unceasing war until all of Mankind either converts to my religion or is put to the sword. A religion that claims to mandate every aspect of behavior. A religion sworn to supplant any other political system with the laws of my religion.

Heck, I don't believe half of what my religion teaches but I keep quiet and I still proclaim myself to be a member of that religion.

Am I innocent?

Was there some particular reason why you felt compelled to post this missive to me? Was there something that you saw in my earlier post that indicated to you that I am unfamiliar with the concept of fairness. The intent of the law? Was there some indication from my posting history that your platitudes were necessary to quell a particular urge I have to behave in a less than above-board manner? I see that you have posted this identical message across numerous threads, to seemingly random posters, so I will not take it personally.

I have never proclaimed that there are "no innocent Muslims". But the actions of Muslims around the world, their bombings, and beheadings, and duplicitiousness, and deceptions, all done in the name of their God and for their God's reward, have painted a picture of an ideology that is fundamentally incompatible with the principles I grew up with.
