John Kerry's letter of transfer to the Standby Reserves is conspicuously missing a page. The first page posted on his campaign website has a final line that ends in a colon. After the colon was supposed to follow a list of Kerry's obligations while in the Standby Reserves. What were those obligations, and did Kerry fulfill them? Much political hay was harvested over the now discredited Bush documents, but here's an unchallengeable directive from the Chief of Naval Personnel that Kerry acknowledged is valid by posting it on his web site. Why is a page missing? Presumably the Navy provided the complete document to Mr. Kerry. Did the Kerry campaign redact the missing page to try and avert just such a question?

I was disappointed to learn that the Navy has decided not to investigate Kerrys medals, meeting with Communists in Paris, and his discharge following a complaint by Judicial Watch. I suppose hell never be asked to release all of his records either.
that's not the case - they're investigating the Silver Medal but none of the others because Kerry properly completed his paperwork.
I'm sure the orders told him to promptly disgrace his country, meet with the enemy and smear his fellow vets.
Strangely, the typewritten document appears to be typed in proportional font..........
They might want to take a look at the "Temporary_Orders_and_Ranks.PDF", if it's still on the Kerry web site.
It still doesn't reconcile the missing page.
This was probably just the fault of the poor Yeoman that typed up the DD-214.
What? John Kerry's Commander was quoted in 'Unfit for Command' saying that Kerry walked into his office with a band aid on his arm and requested the Purple Heart. He told him to get out! John Kerry wrote a letter to someone in Saigon (No one knows who or how) and he received the Purple Heart somehow three months after the incident. John O'Neill pointed out in that in Tour of Duty, it is Kerry himself that says he wounded himself with a grenade, but he used that to falsely obtain a third Purple Heart claiming he took enemy fire on March 13, 1969 while supposedly saving Rassman's life.
Simple perusal of similar documents of the same time period by other naval officers transferred to the Standby Reserves should answer that question..
Assuming that there were a standard set of obligations to be met, and not something specific to his circumstances, such as amount of time left that he was obligated to serve..
More questionable Kerry documents???
There could be something here. It makes sense, unlike the "Kerry was court martialed then pardoned by Jimmy Carter" threads that I have seen.
You see I got these documents from a guy in Abilene.....and he's freakin' unimpeachable!"
Interesting catch. Good investigative work.
Are the pages numbered? Does it look like page numbers have been altered or erased?
See if you can get a comment from the Kerry campaign.
Well .. he's been asked to release ALL his documents by a lot of people, but that doesn't seem to have been acknowledged by the Kerry campaign .. who just repeats that they have released everything on their website .. which we know is a lie.
Oh .. and there is a NEW medal review over the Silver Star issue which was referred to the Navy dept because Lehman is questioning his signature on the document.
He needs his feet held to the fire on this one.
