Is it just me, or ARE more Democrat legislators demonstating serious symptoms of mental illness -- en mass?

How hypocritical of him to boycott Allawi's speech claiming he should be home running his country. Dayton is not fulfilling his job of representing the people of Minnesota by skipping out. Will he donate his day's salary to charity?

I'm really stunned by this. I expected the Dems to fight for the White House and Congressional wins this year but I didn't expect them to go completely off the edge.

The Dems, at this point, not only risk losing the election(which they will) but also losing a huge part of their base.

For years, I've been concerned a third party would emerge that would siphon votes away from the Republican candidate. Now, Dems should have that same concern. Their party has been hijacked by the communist/environmentalist/pacifist/socialist whack job wing of their party.

Geez, I always thought Minnesota was an "open minded" State. Obviously this Senator must be a TRUE DEMOCRAT.

Politics before principles.

He'd be the first one to get on the soap box if the President of Iraq boycotted John F. Kerry!

As if we needed more confirmation that the Dems simply have taken the wrong side on this war.

Allawi's words will be painful to them all, two words in particular, THANK and YOU!

Sen. Mark Dayton, D-Minn., plans to boycott Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad Allawi's appearance before Congress today

Well, of course! Why let facts interfere with his FEEEEELINGS?

He's been asleep in DC since he bought his senate seat.

"[The Democrat] party has been hijacked by the communist/environmentalist/pacifist/socialist whack job wing of their party."

True, but STILL they manage to retain 45%-50% of the vote -- THAT'S the scary part.

One last thing--- Please, citizens of Minnesota, e-mail Mr. Dayton and let him know what you think. He may be wealthy, but he has no spine and barely has the fortitude for politics. Enough dissention among those he supposedly represents in D.C. may force him to reconsider or even apologize to our state and the people of Iraq.

Minnesotans, if you make one Freep this year, let this be it.

Dayton needs to check in with Lil Tommy Daschel.
Boycotting was not the watchword for today. Joined at the hip was today's activity. Guess he wasn't notified.

Now real reporting in the Mn star...would headline something like--

"Apparent Rift Among Senate Dems. Dayton challnges Dachsel's Leadship by Snubbing Allari."

no. We should start in on him now. Guilt by association is powerful. Here we have one of OUR representatives taking a stance which stands in opposition to 90% of the people Dayton purposts to represent. This is an issue that can help Bush in MN in THIS ELECTION. Tying Kerry to Dayton shouldn't be difficult. Let's do it now.

Dayton's probably jealous that Allawi is a better public speaker.

No offense but this kind of attitude will probably AID him in his re-election campaign. Or to put it another way, Congresswoman Barbara Lee votes against the 9-11 actions and wins re-election with an even higher percentage of votes.
