musicians leads charge in urging youths to vote (Democrat)

Twelve years ago, it was a news-grabbing newcomer on the political scene. Today, MTV's Rock the Vote seems positively Stone Age.

That campaign to recruit youth voters is still around, but this year it has lots of company. HeadCount, Music for America, PunkVoter, Smackdown Your Vote! – they're just some of the groups taking part in pop music tours aimed at charging up voters and, in some cases, changing their minds

And do you think I spend my money on these musician's music? Hell no. In fact, when I play out [guitar], I will not play any song by these commie groups anymore and when someone requests one, I tell them why!
