Far too many people here on FR paint all of Islam with the same brush that only really applies to Wahabism... Group guilt is really a liberal position, as opposed to the conservative position of individual responsibility.

As far as I'm concerned, the establishment clause applies to any and all religions. So too does the free exercise clause.

Group guilt does exist. All of the germans who supported or tolerated the nazis were guilty to a certain extent.

Groups outnumber individuals and if they are particularly acidic and destructive they must be dealt with even if good "individuals" exist.

That "group guilt" thing would be harder to do if more of these "moderate" Muslims about whom we hear so much would speak out and condemn this hijacking of their religion.

After three years of nearly total silence, I'm beginning to wonder if the "moderates" are the fringe and the wahhabists the mainstream. Even if most Muslims don't strap on bomb belts or hijack airliners, I am more than a little nervous about how many morally support and tacitly approve of those who do.

Perhaps, but I do think that MOST muslims in general are guilty of remaining strangely silent while these wahabist animals hijack their religion and in its name perform animalistic actions.

If they disagree so strongly with these two legged animals, where`s the outcry. Where was the "Arab Street" when wahabists blew up kids and machine gunned them in the backs? Where was the horror, indignation, and outrage expressed by the rest of the civilized world? Oh, we heard a few negative comments but most seemed out of fear that their fellow arabs had gone to far this time and there could be a backlash, however nothing about the actual inhumanity and viciousness of the act. And what about those "peace loving" "Arab Street" @$$#oles who danced in those streets when the wahabists murdered approximately 3000 Americans? What about the general support we seem to see by that "Arab Street" for the homicide bombers in Israel? And where`s the outrage at these animals cutting off helpless victim`s heads?

Actions speak louder than words and if these "peaceful muslims" really wish to show their disdain for wahabist actions and reclaim their "peaceful religion" they could at least start SAYING something if not DOING something because, so far, the silence has been DEAFENING!

Talk is cheap, so I challenge you to SHOW ME all this outrage, indignation AND ACTIONS that have been undertaken to reclaim their religion! Until then, I`ll make up my own mind on the evidence available, and so far it doesn`t look too good for the "Religion of Peace".

Does that individual responsibility apply to standing up for your religion`s peaceful tenets and condemning as well as fighting against those that would hijack it for barbarous acts?
