And he was on the board while he was still at AP, and while AP was being considered for various Pulitzers, if I understand correctly. If so, IMHO, that's pretty sleazy.

Need to research WHO received the Pulitzer Prize since this guy was Chairman of the Board.

Awarded to The New York Times (barf) for the work of David Barstow and Lowell Bergman that relentlessly examined death and injury among American workers and exposed employers who break basic safety rules. (Moved by the Board from the Investigative Reporting category, where it was also entered.)

Here's one example for 2004 although Boccardi is not currently listed as a board member.
