I think the point she made is brilliant. It is possible that CBS would like to have run their scam just a few days before the election. The Swift Boat Veterans created so much fire and smoke against Poodle boy that the CBS skunks were forced out into the open and they had to act prematurely to try to help him - and it cost them dearly! And in a masterstroke of truly genuine stupidity that defies explanation, they coordinated their attack with Demotrash politicians. Repudiate Rather, Repudiate the Rats.
Yikes, that sounds vaguely like Jame "Buffalo Bill" Gumb in "Silence of the Lambs" (it was on cable a coupla nights ago).
"And now it will place the lotion on it's skin..." eeeww!
I waiting for an on-air game of Russian Roulette with a fully loaded magazine. That's what these anti-American traitors really deserve. I'm sick of my country being trashed by these people.
I disagree on one point. I don't think CBS went with the story early because the Swift Boat Veterans were killing Kerry's numbers. They were hurting him, sure, but the numbers really started to go into the tank after Rathergate.
My theory is that the DNC, the Kerry campaign, and the MSM had a careful plan to crank up a major campaign against Bush right after Labor Day, and build it up for two months.
They had all summer to plan it.
The forged documents were just the first step in a carefully orchestrated series of propaganda attacks. But when the first step went off the rails, that made it impossible for them to carry through with it. They did try to follow it up for a couple of days, but with the forgery charge growing all the time it just never got off the ground. The DNC is STILL trying to go with it, but hardly anyone is listening to them.
TIC TIC TIC TIC TICK....
Ann is definately a club, one of those spiked clubs, morningstars I think you call them. ;-)
Now that the Swifties have resumed the attack, may the tailspin continue. I heard CarVile say tonight that the Kerry camp should ignore the latest Swiftie ads. Worked the first time :-}
LOL - Just ignore them. They'll go away. (Images of a dinosaur in a tar pit in my mind)
Oh, Boo-Hoo. The truth hurts.
There was never any doubt that we could have won the Vietnam War, but we didn't have someone with George Bush's character and determination in office during those years.
Put a little black mustache on that guy and you have the grandson of Adolph Hitler.
Or a flail of ages. But a morning star works too.
Oh, just damn whoopee!
This probably p*ssed off the Swifties, and decided to make the political season more exciting.
I wonder if the fraudulent Ms. Mapes also coordinated that CBS attack? To keep the swifties under the radar?
Would this have prompted them to get the information in book form?
Worth repeating....
Have you noticed THE TRUTH never has to be amended? The libber attacks on GW change daily, even the ones on the same subject because they have to amend it slightly when the facts don't match the accusations. The brave SwiftVets haven't changed their initial positions one iota . . . in the face of some of the most vicious media attacks I've ever seen.
But they've refused to be spit on in silence this time. They're mad as hell and they're not taking it anymore.
Yes, these vets won the Vietnam War, we the public let them down . . . but they're still walking tall and fearlessly fighting the battles against all our enemies -- both domestic and foreign.
In a world of frauds, Ann is Ann. I think having the intellectual honesty to be yourself is a more noble trait than worrying about expanding your market share.
If attempting to subvert a presidential election using fraud is not a felony, it should be.
I've tended to forget this about the avuncular Mr. Cronkite, although the charge sounds familiar, like something I'd heard before. I guess it's not something CBS brags about directly. Anyway, I'm going to really try not to forget anymore. Old Walter still opens his yap from retirement sometimes, weighing in as the senior stateman character. Wouldn't do at all to forget who it is talking.
