WASHINGTON It was no accident that John Kerry appeared on a daytime television interview show and recalled his days as a young prosecutor representing a rape victim. Or that he then flew from New York to Florida to promote his health care proposals. Or that on Thursday he will preside over an Iowa town hall meeting on national security with an audience made up entirely of women. These appearances are part of an energetic drive by the Kerry campaign to win back voters that Democrats think are rightfully theirs: women.

Jeez... how could they come to this conclusion?!
I mean hey... maybe he did 'high-tail' it when the Swift Boats came under fire and some guy fell off because he panicked... what does that prove? What does it prove that he talked with the enemy while we had men in 'harms way' and rotting in North Vietnamese prisons?
Nah... Kerry will be there for you ladies... just like Billy Blythe was there for you... FEELING your pain!
He makes this woman want to puke.
I guess he made Kelly of Regis & Kelly fall all over him though. Not that I saw it, but I heard Rusty Humphries play a few clips on his radio show yesterday....
Amen! And I'll add that the "writer" Seeyle makes a nauseous assumption that we women are "natural" dupes (my word) for the criminal enterprise known as the democrat party (thanks, Bob J, for that great imprimatur of years gone by).I am proud to join the negligee brigade on Free Republic, Ms. Seelye--and not the treasonous brigade of all those supporting puny-minded jfkerry.
There! I feel better now.
Regards to you . . . Penny
Was about to make that same point myself. I liked the way you phrased it better!
Yesterday I saw the blond Republican pundette Kelly Ann Connelly (sp?) on Fox News. She had a great quote about the appeal of the candidates to women:
"Women prefer complex men with simple ideas like President Bush, as opposed to simple men with complex ideas like John Kerry!"
She's like that all the time with metrosexuals.
I couldn't imagine Jean-Fraude lifting his spindly fingers to do much of anything but move that caviar topped wafer to his grey lips for a bite. So, I think protecting anything but his ghoulish face is out of the question.
Hmmmmm, 99% of the females I know seem to find him unnaturally repulsive.
Then you're hanging out with quality women.
I wouldn't dismiss this lightly. I know female potential voters who go squishy when Rats start rhapsodising about health care, social security, education, and "The Children". We will get a non-stop month of society's "Losers" from the MSM.
"Hmmmmm, 99% of the females I know seem to find him unnaturally repulsive."
LOL I see the same thing.
Plus the "youth" are leaving Kerry because he can't make up his mind. Most teens are not flip floppers, in fact they usually sick to a side even if it cuts off their own noses. They respect W!
two words "full monty".
Kerry naturally forgets that most women, even squishey democrat types are turned off by a money grubbing jigalo.
Last sentence makes no sense at all. Are single women somehow immune from terror strikes? Don't married women want a good economic environment to raise their families?
The truth is that Kerry is a girlie man and (married or not) women know it. He isn't making them feel "safe" in any capacity be it terrorism, health care, or a job. Women will reject men who seem too feminine, no matter if they're turning down a date or withholding a vote.
I'll be voting for the Texas Cowboy who currently sits in the White House.
I don't buy that they care more about the economy than terrorism. What they care about is handouts. Kerry promises them free healthcare and they swoon. Idiots.
