You know how funny things are? This morning I was given an assistant to help me at the clinic where I worked, and she is from Russia.

We began talking some and it turns out her sister has a boyfriend in Russia who is related to someone who lives next door to Putin, and she has been there.

They are gangsters, filthy rich, and Putin had put one of them in jail for a few months, so they hate him. Not she or her sister, but the group who own this home next door to Putin.

She said Putin is a very strong Christian but also very, very wealthy.

I too have a rather queer story. I was once visiting a city in California. I was driving down the street and saw two identical Russian Orthodox churces directly across the street from each other. My curiosity got the better of me and I pulled over and went into one of them to get to the bottom of this mystery. I was greeted by a priest who told me that when the church was first started everything was just fine. But soon, shady Russian characters began showing up for services. Soon they were pushing ecumenism and trying to turn the congregation against the priest. He said it didn't take long before both he and the congregation smelled a rat, and ejected what the priest described as Russian agents. According to the priest, these same unsavory characters bought a piece of property directly across the street and built an identicle looking church. They even painted it in the same colors. Ever since, he said they have been dueling for new converts. The one teaches standard Russian Orthodox doctrine, while the other preaches ecumenism. I've always wanted to take time off work and travel back there to find out more. And I expect, one of these day I will do just that.
