This is exactly the kind of issue that the world's best campaign consultant cannot deal with - there's no way to dress up this pig. On a gut level - very few people would like to see the White House disgraced by someone like Theresa Heinz-Kerry - and no ad campaign, no slick packaging or message magic will ever change this.
