Aly Colon, ethics group leader at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies, said if that is the case, CBS News may have crossed the line.

That fine line between terra firma and air most of us call a cliff...

the secondary purpose of this whole "charade" was to get the focus off Kerry's miserable record in and on the military, and instead, to focus on W, call his integrity into question, even if weakly and get the 'swift boats' stuff off of page one.

controlling the news cycle, is what it's all about.

the whole damned thing, is a non issue as it relates to bush.
CLINTON NEVER served, admitting he went to Europe to avoid the DRAFT... and it meant NOTHING to the electorate who put him in office not once, but TWICE.

They saw kerry going down in the polls, atttributed it, falsely I think, to the swifty ads, instead of the BRILLIANT performance of the RNC in NYC... and did THIS emergency maneuver to try and get the news cycle back under their power.

The focus is now the scandal, instead of flip-flopper Kerry... and as we all know Kerry does his very best, when nobody sees him or the breck girl in public.

Bush will still win... if all goes well.
America is not buying this story, doesn't see it as important as an issue, and wants to move on. CBS has this investigative committee plan going... just to try and keep the accusations alive... and the focus off of komrade kerry.
