The Left live in constant dread that Bush will have four more years to stabilize Iraq.
If you talk to them they say they are afraid that terrorists will attack again, that we will lose in Afghanistan and Iraq, that AQ will take over the middle east. I even know someone who believes the dems are deliberately blowing the election because they don't want to be in charge when hell breaks loose.
But they are terrified of a Bush success, and what that would mean for them.

I can think of no better example than what Dan Rather presented on the evening news the day after the 60 minutes story was aired on the forged documents. Dan & company, under attack by pajama wearing radicals, showed pictures of dead Iraqi babies and insinuated that they were killed by American soldiers.
