Magazine's "I Love Abortion" Baby Bibs, Child's Shirts Cause Outrage

Louisville, KY (LifeNews.com) -- Just months after Planned Parenthood began selling its controversial "I had an abortion" T-shirts, a Kentucky magazine has created a line of "I Love Abortion" merchandise, including a baby's bib and an infant's t-shirt.

K Composite, a magazine which features interviews with regular individuals instead of celebrities, is drawing criticism for the offerings in its online store.

"The bibs, and all the 'I love abortion' items, are designed as a humorous depiction of how far some people take certain issues," Scott Richter, the magazine's founder, told LifeNews.com.

"I do not believe that anyone actually loves abortion," Richter, a liberal who ran for mayor of Louisville years ago, told LifeNews.com. "I feel fairly certain that even the recipients and practitioners of abortion procedures do not love what they are doing. Therein lies the irony."

"Babies, of all people, would never love abortion," added Richter. He said that creating items of baby's clothing "takes the joke that much farther."

Pro-life leaders, however, aren't laughing.

"This appears to be a crass attempt by a publicity hound seeking attention," said Wendy Wright, Senior Policy Director for Concerned Women of America. "Perhaps someday he'll grow up."

While Richter views the items as a humorous jab at the abortion issue, he admitted that there is a line he will not cross.

"The Holocaust and slavery are subjects that would be off limits for this type of humor." admitted Richter. "But that is just my personal opinion and I'm sure some people would disagree with me on that, too."

Richter has drawn fire for his other creations, including "Saint Clinton" items featuring an edited portrait of Jesus with former president Bill Clinton's head, and women's underwear featuring the "I love abortion" slogan.

Yes, it's all a joke. I wonder Who's going to get the last laugh?

"The Holocaust and slavery are subjects that would be off limits for this type of humor."

But other forms of genocide, apparently, are okay in his opinion.

They need to add the "I Love Abortion and That's Why I'm Voting For John Kerry" t-shirt to their collection.

How about a child's t-shirt with a picture of an aborted fetus with the caption "This is My Big Sister" or "My Mommie Did This To My Brother So I'm Being Extra Good"?! This is a new low.

What about a line of "I-heart-Rape" t-shirts for women - bet they'd think that was pretty humorous, too. I-heart-Child Porn?

Some folks are just plain stoopit. Or evil. Can't decide in this case whether or not they're the same thing.

What does that have to do with anything? Perverts and liberal morons put teeshirts on babies to say the most outrageous things, and also put words in their mouths. What's the big deal?
