(V) You Don't Create Fakes To Prove The Truth

Sorry for the vanity but in this entire debate about the fake documents, there is one thing I am not hearing that needs to be said.

The remaining Kool-Aid drinkers on the left (and Rather himself) are still positing that the documents may be fake but the information is still true.

Ask them a simple question. When was the last time somebody faked documents in order to prove the truth? They don't. It's not human nature to fake something you know is true. You fake what you know to be a lie but you want to convince others is the truth.

This point may seem obvious to a lot of us FReepers, but there seems to be some folks on the left who have a real problem with this concept.

You don't fake the truth. You fake a lie. The documents are fake so the story the documents represent must be a lie and intended as an overt lie or else there would be no need to invent the fake documents.

Next time a liberal tries to keep the accusations afloat, ask the simple question. They have no logical retort.
