ABC News' Beth Loyd reports: "When the news broke that Joe Lockhart had talked to Bill Burkett, the troops huddled at the front of the plane for almost the duration of the 40-minute flight from Cincinnati to Cleveland, and they all looked very serious. When asked about the story, a spokesman honestly seemed to have no idea about it and after having read the story said, 'this is nothing. They already knew that Cleland talked to Burkett.'" But his face did not show indifference."

The problem with all huddling at the front of the plane is that it puts the campaign outside its weight and balance limitations, making recovery from a dive difficult...

They are in free fall. This is going to get REAL ugly. I expect disheartened Dems switching to Nader in droves.
BTW, wouldn't now be a great time for another swift boat vet ad?

Lockhart just got on the plane, now Kerry's going to have to throw him off. Sweet.

Co-ordination is against the McCain Feingold law. Wonder if this aspect of campaign reform will be enforced.........?

"troops" I think she used the WRONG metaphor (Zell Miller--"You know what a metaphor is, dontcha?"). Perhaps something more like this would've been better....

Lurch really doomed his own campaign when he brought the Clinton thugs into his campaign. I have had recent sightings of Lockhart, Podesta, Lehane, Begala and Albright on TV stumping for lurch. All these people just remind voters of what a bummer the clinton administration was. The smart thing for lurch to do would have been to send all these hacks packing. Lurch won't be able to get the stench of the clinton hacks out of his saville row suit before election day.

The spin will be ferocious. We already have heard Rather issue a non-apology, Andy Rooney say the documents were faked but they are based on the genuine documents, and now Lockhart will be coming out with some preposterous tale. But all the spin won't save them!

Sandy Burglar and now Joe Lockhart. Hmm, and more fund raising illegalities by Kerry's campaign now coming out. Rush mentioned a Chung...today, South Korean embassy worker/ Kerry supporter extraordinaire, even RAT stalwarts were uncomfortable with this guy. He was a South Korean intelligence agent and now he's nowhere to be found. My, my. Was he attempting to influence the US election?

I believe that the slang term for what you described is "nosedive". I also believe that Kerry's French looking proboscis is feeling the pull of gravity growing stronger by the minute.
