One thing I still don't understand, is why these 3 hostages were living unprotected in a Baghdad neighbourhood. It just doesn't make any sense.

God be with them and their families.

You know what's really sad - if Bush loses the election, or if we cut and run, these terrorists will take it as a sign that their murderous strategy worked. The hostages and soldiers would have died for nothing because the American public failed to show the same courage they did.

That really sticks in my craw.

What would be even sadder is when the jihadists start showing up in every city in this country because we had cut and run. They expect to win this war and they could. It's far from determined.

Their Iraqi 'bodyguards' stopped showing up for work at their residence the week before the abduction, according to the families of these men. Their blood was sold to the Muhammadan demoniacs and they were set up. I want the bodyguards of these men that are complicit in their deaths.

I heard their body guards stopped coming to work and the hostages had a sense that something was up. Well that's goming to change the way they hire body guards over there!

Evidently, they live in the upscale of Bahgdad. There are guards on the duty 24/7 to "protect" those who are from abroad helping to make it a better country.

They sold out, there were now guards around and they were taken. Me thinks they were paid off to look the other way.

It is difficult to know who to trust. The Iraqi's need to start stepping up and saying this was the behavior while
Saddam ruled and we will not tolerate this, I will not hold my breath for that day to come.

Prayers to the families and all those who defend our country selflessly.

You are exactly, perfectly right.

They were protected but the guards made comments that they themselves were in danger and from what I gathered, the guards did not appear the day they were kidnapped.

It is a bad situation. The guards have families, the terrorists don't care who they torture or kill. Who knows how much barbarism is threatened on the Iraqis doing their jobs.

John Kerry in 1971 sitting with peace demonstrators, chanting, "What do we want? PEACE! When do we want it? NOW!"

Flash forward to 2004. Same scenario. Same situation of giving moral support to our enemies.
