My point, if you haven't guessed yet, is that Islam is perhaps THE MOST MISUNDERSTOOD religion in the West. The Communists and their allies on the political Left are working overtime to place the blame for global terrorism on Islam. And they have succeeded in this goal if the above posts are any indication of the mindset of your average conservative. As I have said over and over on the WE ARE THE NEXT TARGET and TERRORISTS IN MUSLIM DISGUISE threads, the US is being taken for a ride by Communists/Marxists posing as Muslims.

Not any more. Islam has been met in the Western political and intellectual arenas and found wanting. I understand Islam and Muslim/Middle East culture very well now. So do many at Free Republic who watch the Middle East.
