What the heck have you been smoking? turkey and religious freedom in the same sentence? turkey has laws that stridently prevent religious freedom, unless of course the religion is islam. Christians have been locked up in "modern" turkey for the crime of giving away bibles.
Dig a little deeper and you'll see that this guy calls for a "united islam" nation wherein all the nations with muslim populations would come together under one banner...does the word caliphate sound familiar?

Neither. And yes, he does harken for a revival of an Ottoman-type rule. Which, by the way, provided for way more religious freedom/civil liberties than the likes of Saddam, Khomeini, Kaddafi, Arafat, etc.

Go back and do a detailed study on the Ottoman Empire. At least then you will have enough info. to compare it to the modern day Middle East. Are you seriously contending that there is no difference between Turkey and Saddam's Iraq? No difference between Turkey and Iran or Syria? Give me a break.

We've had people working with the Kurds since before the first Gulf War.
the Kurds ARE decent and they HAVe helped.
( despite what the Turks have tried to pull... you WERE paying attention when the turks tried to glom onto a chunk of Northern iraq in return for letting us use their air-space and their facilities? )

I do have a question though....is the left that is duping us ignorant Americans about islam being a terrorist religion the same left whose newspapers (NYT, LAT. Newsday...) will not use the word terrorist in their reporting of massacres perpetrated by muslims on non-muslims such as the one two weeks ago in Russia? Is it the same left that won't allow our HS folks to profile at airports? Is it the same left that is running John F. (the threat of terrorism is overstated) Kerry for POTUS? Or is there some other Left that is pulling the wool over our eyes and poisoning us against islam?

Show me where I made any such reference, and then answer my question about 1,000,000 Armenians killed by the muslim Ottomans less than 100 years ago, simply because they were Christians.
Then address the laws on the books in your favorite turkey that make it illegal for you, if you are the Christian that you profess to be, to go there and practice your religion. There is a reason that turkey's population is 99% muslim, and it isn't tolerance. But hey, don't let facts get in the way of your propagandizing, that would just ruin the fun.
