On the one hand, Jackson has always been a "good neighbor," popular and quite generous, in Santa Barbara county. On the other hand, this is not a radical county like Alameda. The SB voters supported recall of Davis 57/42. They voted Schwarzenegger 47, Bustamante 30 and McClintock 16. They also voted in support of the definition of marriage ballot measure. If the jury reflects this make-up proportionally, Jackson may be convicted in spite of everything else he has going for him.
Wonder if the second "trial of the century" will be moved to Los Angeles, like the OJ trial...you know, better facilities and all that...of course, this would mean finding a jury of his "peers" ... just like they did with OJ, right?! NOT!!! When all is said-n-done, it'll be just another FREAK SHOW...just like with OJ, or worse!
