Maryland voted for a Republican governor two years ago, defeating a Kenney (Kathleen Kennedy Townsend). There's hope!

I live in Southern Maryland, which is pretty conservative, for Maryland, anyway. I see a lot of W bumper stickers; not may Kerry ones.

Maryland voted Ehrlich for Governor over the Democrat, Kathleen Townsend. The State is Democratic, but they dont like weak Democrats. And Kerry is "weak", if you get my meaning.

Steele is out campaigning for Bush in MD, as is Ehrlich - who has also been tapped by the Bush campaign to stump for the President in certain Battleground States.
