I remember reading French magazines (their equivalent of Time magazine) and hearing of the movement "contre-racisme", which meant that the elites looked down their noses at anyone expressing indignation at Arab immigration, considering such attitudes racism. It was all the rage in their MSM, to be "contre racisme".

It's something in the water that "elites" drink in the West. Makes them feel falsely superior for having what are actually suicidal thoughts.

Had a very telling and relevant conversation with a Western "elite" wannabe recently. New elementary school built across the street from her. She got online to check the demographics, and the place is 3% white. In what was ten years ago was 100% white neighborhood, and is now prolly 80-20 Anglo/Hisp. The clincher is the surrounding apartments all go to this school. Anyway, the neighborhood parents tried to get enough signatures to block apt kids access to the school. Ms. Elite tells me she told them, proudly, "No, I won't sign, because those children will be forced to go to a ghetto school." In the next breath she tells me she'll send her own kids to a private school, because, "not that I'm a racist or anything, but, 3% white is a little outside our comfort zone."

She gets to feel superior and benevolent to the poor ghetto urchins, by helping ensure other neighborhood parents will have to tolerate something she herself has no plans to tolerate. And there goes a civilization, straight through the looking glass.
