Thanks for the correction --
A friend of mine (who has since died from cancer) took a lifelong dream trip to Israel. She was a teacher and she was very excited about the trip. One afternoon she decided to walk around by herself and was horrified to be attacked from behind, thrown into an alley and raped. When she came back she was still very visibly shaken and very afraid to tell her husband what had happened. She was also very afraid that she might have contracted an illness from the unwanted encounter. Medical tests proved she was ok, and not too long after that she learned of the cancer and died.
Isn't it odd that you can go through your life wanting so much to get close to the religious icons we have read about since we were small, and then you actually get there and you are violated by one of the most disgusting of human acts against a woman. The irony.
I don't see how things in Malmø are so different than things in many of our large cities in the USA. We're just as bad in political correctness --- or worse.
Oh my God, what a terrible story, Misty. I feel sorry for your friend. May she rest in peace.
Yes --- like it or not, the terrorists are the ones following in Mohammad's footsteps, and are following the Koran --- any real peaceful Muslims are really just heretics --- picking and choosing just the nice parts of the Koran while ignoring it's real message --- the message of forcing the whole world into submission to them --- the Koran is all about that.
Heard of a lot of things happening over there - but this was not one of them.
Why am I reminded of the efforts of Catholic Services to bring in Muslim Albanian immigrants to the US, Somali refugees, and others who do not assimilate into our culture but preserve cultural ghettos of their own in our cities and SUBURBS.
"Seriously, Swedes have a moral arrogance about them, an attitude that they are better than thou, that is mind numbing."
Someone assassinated their Prime Minister (Olaf Palme) in the early seventies. AFAIK they never bothered to find the perpetrator.
They displayed their moral superiority in WW II by selling steel and other basic supplies to the Nazi war machine.
It seems that some times it takes a very long time for people to get it and get themselves in the right frame of mind -- look at medieval Spain --- 700 years of Islamic control before they figured out how to shake themselves loose from it.
Ideas have consequences.
Allow Muslim immigration, reap its fruit.
Unfortuantely both Bush and Kerry are guilty on this count.
I daresay they will find the (well armed) land of the free and home of the brave a little more difficult to conquer.
Mr. Remington patrols my property; how about yours?
Most of the Mosques have schools for Muslim children.
Well, until fairly recently the same could be said for Catholic churches.
Their desire is to force us into their ways.
And this is different from, say, the Christian Coalition exactly how?
belittles you.
Well, I agree that this is dangerous, but we have to admit that this pretty much sounds like the situation in East LA, the southside of Chicago, the Bronx or parts of Miami. We have had tourists killed because they turned into the wrong neighborhood, and it wasn't Muslims who did it!
You have to be joking.
If not, exactly what is it about the Christian agenda for America that is so frightening to you? Or does the demon-inspired Islamic (IM)moral code fit your value system better than the example and teachings of Jesus Christ? I can assure you that the vast majority of American Christians, both protestant and Catholic, do not want or intend to "force us (you) into their ways." Christians want nothing for or from our nation and it's people that would raise an objection from Bush, Reagan, Lincoln, Washington, or the men who drew up the U.S. Constitution. Can you say the same for the Islamic agenda?
I have to believe you don't really know what Christians actually advocate and want for their nation, or what kind of evil value system Islam teaches and wants to force on the people of all nations. True, not all Muslims approve of murdering innocent people who don't happen to believe in their moon god Allah. But atrocities such as the rape of children both female and male, sexual mutilation of female children, the cruel, inhuman practice of stoning to death women accused of adultery or immodest behavior, and the violent oppression of women in general is a fact of everyday life in Islam. And although it is no longer an official practice of Islam, forced conversion on pain of death is still all too common in many Islamic controlled areas of the world.
Do you really think that kind of "religion" is in any way remotely comparable to authentic Christianity? If so please make your case, I'm sure many of us Christian would-be dictators would like to hear it.
>>Their desire is to force us into their ways.
>And this is different from, say, the Christian Coalition
>exactly how?
How many hostages have been beheaded by Christians in the past year?
Don't answer. That was a rhetorical question.
"The problem is limited to a few neighborhoods."
Isn't that enough? How many neighborhoods have to be brutalized before it is a problem? This is an example of denial in action.
"I noted no problems. I was told while I was there that in the late '90s that Brussels has succumbed to "white flight" to the suburbs."
Apparently the Belgians "noted" some problems. You might consider visiting the exclusively moslem "neighborhoods" next time you're in Paris and let us know what you note.
I haven't been there so all I know is what I read here and other venues. I'd really like to read first-hand observations.
I remember reading French magazines (their equivalent of Time magazine) and hearing of the movement "contre-racisme", which meant that the elites looked down their noses at anyone expressing indignation at Arab immigration, considering such attitudes racism. It was all the rage in their MSM, to be "contre racisme".
Good. 'eff the multicultural socialists. Norway is next.
I hired his cousin, Mr. Winchester. He has a few friends, Mr. Smith, Mr. Wesson, and Mr. Colt who can help out if needed.
And it is working to gain a foothold in our own government, with Barak Obama.
Sorry, I really think he seems like a nice guy, but as we have found out, one can never tell the real personality of a politician anyway, I don't think we should chance a Muslim one...Just my $.02
