I posted this on another thread, but I think it bears repeating:

"I don't know what thread it is on, but someone posted 6 or 7 links to a Yahoo group, and there, in one of the messages, he stated that he wanted a position in the new Kerry administration. He was putting himself forward for Political Patronage."

Could someone document this, so I'm sure I remembered it correctly? It answers more as to Burkett's motivation than just "Bush hatred."

I remember a post like that but it was a little more generalized IIRC he was worried about Texans not being represented in the spoils(expressed differently) I remember a whole page of posts with dates etc but can't find it

The truth probably is that many of the insiders simply didn't think to check someone out in Texas. Does that mean they won't check out those that submit themselves for key positions, as well. That's what we all think.
