Do you have any idea why both Kerry and Teresa have yellow plastic wrist bands on? It makes me think they may have decided to wear Viet Nam POW/MIA bracelets like people used to wear in the 1970's.

I noticed at least one of the 9/11 widows in the background. Sad. It strikes me he's trying to get attention ahead of the President's speech before the UN today.

Seriously started feeling queezy over this collection.

Looking at the far off ones from outside that they intentionally soft focus to make his face appear less corpse like (less, not completely human) is the only break in these pictures.

Theresa is definatly on drugs and her features and expression say it all as to how she deals with humanity.

LIZZZZZZARD LADY!

As much as I wish those really had been spoken by Kerry, I've seen them attributed to everyone from Dan Quayle to Al Gore...

"Who amongst you do not abhor the Republican dirty tricks? You all know it
was that SOB Karl Rove who planted those bogus memos on Dan Rather. That
wasn't the first time. I remember back during our primaries, Rove was out there
saying he wanted Howard Dean to win. He even got columnists to write about his
preference (Why Karl Rove Fears Howard Dean), but we outsmarted him. We saw right through this a form of reverse psychology. You know, 'Don't throw me into that
briar patch.' So the Democrats turned to me. Karl Rove's dirty tricks have got to stop."

John Kerry: Prince or Frog?

The New Yorker has a long profile of Teresa Heinz Kerry, the Democratic nominee for first lady. To be honest, we haven't read it, but a reader calls our attention to an extremely damning revelation about the Kerry-Teresa courtship: On their first date, the couple "chatted in French."

The magazine attempts a lait de chaux, observing that "when two Americans lapse into French, it is usually for the purpose of flirting." This is wholly implausible. Over the years we've pitched our share of woo, and we've never lapsed into French. (Pig Latin occasionally, but never before the third date.) In any case, it appears Teresa made a big mistake. She thought Kerry, who by the way served in Vietnam, was a hottie. It turned out he was just haughty.

"If I hear one more person tell me how lousy a candidate Kerry is and how he can't win . . . Dammit, of COURSE he's a lousy candidate--he's a Democrat, for heavens sake! That party is so pathetic, they even lose the elections they win! What were you expecting, Bruce Springsteen heading up the ticket? Bruce would make a helluva president, but guys like him don't run--and neither do you or I. People like Kerry run."

Nader called Democrats "gutless, spineless, clueless and hapless"
and said their gamble that people would vote for anyone but Bush
was misguided and would make them lose the election.
