Don't know if this has made it to the thread yet but Tony Blankly said that it is clear that Lockhart is lying when he said he didn't talk to Burkett about the Guard issue. Howard Feinman agreed. Blankly predicted that Lockhart would be fired within 48 to 72 hours.

I agree that Lockhart is gone by the end of the week. He will do the "Berger thing" and resign as to prevent further "distraction" to the Kerry campaign. The news breaks the last hour are staggering. It takes some of the focus off of CBS and Rather. Maybe that is what CBS's strategy is. Hmmmmm......

Lockhart lied when he said: "it's possible that the producer told me about documents." Well I would think she would have to give Lockhart a reason for why she was in touch with Burkett and wanted him to call Burkett. Right now Isikoff is on FOX saying that the Kerry campaign has denied any contact with Burkett!! Another lie!
