Mapes is a goner. Lockhart is a goner. Cleland is a goner. Burkett has been gone for years.

I can't believe Burkett was a career military officer...makes me want to puke that someone gave that idiot the oath. Imagine going down in American history in this guy's shoes...former officer, and retired vet who got the national spotlight for being a pathological liar, stupid enough to get caught forging documents to smear the President and for atttempting to defraud the American people.

I don't think Lockhart did anything wrong. He was given a lead, and pursued it. What's wrong with that? Mapes obviously is unprofessional, unethical and partisn in her MO. If CBS does not bounce her, that will be another CBS scandal.

By the way, how can CBS claim to have had "absolute confidence" from "very reliable sources" that the memos were real, just based on Burkett throwing out a name, whom CBS obviously didn't speak to? Just who would CBS think a Bush hater with a nutter background should be trusted about anything? It is one thing to use the guy as a lead, another to rely on him. Crazy.
