I'm a little surprised. I think proof must be offered that the KGB (Putin's "KGB colleagues" to be more exact) did, in fact, cause the massacre before such an accusation can be seriously entertained.
And no, I'm not a "Putin for Popester". But this EX-intelligence officer is just saying that the Beslan massacre was the fault of someone other than the Chechens, as if it were established fact, without offering any proof at all. The author also appears to legitimize Chechen "efforts to regain their independence" by disparaging Putin's characterization of them as "terrorists". The Chechens who were in that school in Beslan, and in that theater in Moscow, and anybody else who follows that path ARE terrorists as far as I'm concerned; scumsucking, bloodthirsty beasts.
If one delves deep enough into this massacre, and everything surrounding it, questions begin to rise.
I am not in any way, shape, or form excusing any act of terrorism, the Chechens were wrong the minute they used civilians, specially children, as pawns in this war, whether in Beslan or elsewhere in the world, but if you really want to know about this massacre, you HAVE to read outside the mainstream American media.
I have serious doubts about the reporting on this, I have serious doubts because the people in charge in Russia these days are nothing but KGB.
