I as an upstate conservative find this hard to believe. We have some of the most left wing radical residents in the entire nation in the downstate area. If the Jewish population and Hispanic population of New York have turned on the democrats I sure haven't heard about it. If this is true in NY then Kerry might as well pack his bags for his French villa!

Don't underestimate the power of the Police and Firefighters in NY---especially Queens, Brooklyn and LI.

As another upstate conservative, I have been telling people for a long time, "NYC will go Bush". Unions may like commie principles but people will vote for the one they think will keep them the safest and most lively and worry about their pension funds later, if they survive that long.
