I think this has been debunked, in that Kerry was released to the inactive Reserves after serving as the Admiral's aide, therefore not required to drill.
About his release date, I don't know, but I don't think that story has legs either.
I WISH IT WOULD THO, and I hope more than one reporter will pursue the "Why don't you sign Form 180 to have all your military records released by the government as President Bush has done?" Kerry needs to hear that question OVER AND OVER.

He did say he was "ready to report for duty." Shouldn't he release the Form 180 so that a background check for readiness to report for duty can be confirmed? Like a reference check....seems like an innocent enough request since he's "ready to report for duty" and all that...got to be careful who you hire these days....
