John Kerry's Newt Gingrich Problem?
After Newt Gingrich hit the national spotlight in 1994 by becoming the first Republican speaker of the House in 40 years, he was skewered by reports that he had served his first wife divorce papers as she lay in a hospital bed battling cancer.
But the press has been far kinder to Democratic presidential front-runner John Kerry, who, according to published accounts going back more than a decade, began extricating himself from his first marriage to Philadelphia heiress Julia Thorne at the same time she was battling a case of depression so debilitating that it drove her to the brink of suicide.
In an attempt to explain why he decided not to let his wife's precarious mental state derail his 1982 bid to become Michael Dukakis' lieutenant governor, Kerry told the New Yorker magazine last December, "When I get focused and set out to do something, I'm pretty good at staying focused."
"You don't want to let yourself down, you know what I'm saying?" added the ambitious Democrat without a hint of irony.

If the dim dems were honest with themselves, they would admit that Kerry cut & run on his first wife, Julia, betraying his marriage vows. Because of that betrayal, he cut & run on his children.
John Kerry cut & run on all Vietnam Vets back in 1971. Those same Vets he claims to care so much about now.
Kerry has vowed (probably the only vow he'll actually keep in his life) to cut & run on the Iraqi people. In doing so he will again cut & run on the American military and their families. What a slap in the face to the families of those soldiers who have lost their lives.

HIS BETRAYAL OF THOSE AROUND HIM. Very Clintonesque actually...seems to run in the "family".
He he also "cut and run" from the VVAW after they ceased to be useful to him politically.
Kerry has a history of betraying everything he has ever been involved in.
The only ones I know of that Kerry has not screwed over are the North Vietnamese Communists. He supports them even until today.
There have been long-standing questions about whether that first marriage was annulled within the Catholic Church. Does anyone have an info on this?
I don't know but you know it won't come up on the Dr Phil show! They will tip toe all around the first marriage issue.
Since they were so anxious to unseal divorce papers for Republicans, I wonder if the media will demand Kerry's divorce records be unsealed.
Oh, wait. I forgot. They're on his side.

The poor woman. You can tell that lurch's insufferable pompasity drove this woman to the brink. Sounds like she learned a long time ago what voters are finally waking up to- that whatever your politics - even if you are a devout democrat - it doens't change the fact that lurch is a drag. On a personal level he appears to have all the charm of the grim reaper.
