THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (AP) - A City Council candidate who once brought a hatchet to a Planning Commission meeting got the attention of Secret Service agents because he distributed fliers advocating the assassination of President Bush....
Daniel Avila, 25, admitted Wednesday that he handed out fliers at the city's Oktoberfest celebration stating, "President George W. Bush Deserves to Be Assassinated." The handbill also called for a sex attack on the president's twin daughters.

This guy should be locked in a psycho ward for 60 days.
Loves America so much that it is worth killing for.
Free Speech is one thing but to openly run for City Council like this guy is doing is abhorrent when he openly advocates the death of anyone, especially the President of the United States and the rape of this teenaged daughters. I hope the Secret Service impresses upon him the full wrath of the law. That's why we have a democratic process. Vote the person out if you don't agree--don't advocate their murder.
LOL
Ladies and gents... Our competitors.
On a lighter note, notice no right-wing nutjobs advocated sexually attacking Chelsea. Just thought I would throw that in there. Take it for what it's worth.
How about Leavenworth for 60 years?

No, let us not pathologize what is actually evil.
He should be in prison.
Even those with no morals whatsoever could not bring themselves to advocate such an act with such a person.
Perhaps, I guess its based on what's relative...lol
How about scrutinizing him for the next 20 years through prison bars.
Excusing purjury and rape were a new low. The mendacity of the Democrat Newsmedia (formerly known as the "Mainstream Press") has come to be expected. A major Democrat news outlet tries to influence the election with forged documents. A serious Democrat candidate for the Presidency accuses President Bush of knowing about 9/11 in advance and doing nothing. A Democrat Senator accuses President Bush of devising the War in Iraq "in Texas" for partisan, political purposes. Every day, Democrats accuse the President of "lying!"
Some Democrats no doubt fail to see the harm of descending deeper and deeper into an abyss of depravity.
Some no doubt haven't noticed.
Some are in denial.
Some don't care.
Some are intent on accelerating the descent.
The Democrat Party has become the Party of Depravity and the morally bankrupt.
My parents, grandparents, and great grandparents were all Democrats. If they were alive today, they would renounce and repudiate the Democrat Party and all that it has become--utterly, completely, and in no uncertain terms.
My children are all Republicans.
Handing out flyers calling for the President's assassination... that would be among the dumbest things one could do. I'm sure they'll miss the guy on DU for the next couple of years.
"The handbill also called for a sex attack on the president's twin daughters."
According to Dan rather this would only be a mans personal sex life and not worth a news report.
It is only a matter of time before time before CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, New York Times, et al. report that Daniel Avila is a "moderate" and any critics are "right-wing extremists" which will explain what has happened to California and what the lamestream press/media have in mind for America under Lurch.
Each time someone like this comes along, just cements the fact that liberalism is a mental disease.
When did this start? Under the clintons? Can this be traced?
Leavenworth would be too nice for this guy. He needs to be treated real bad, like having skivvies put on his head.
BTW, How was the ride?
This is representative of our parents' and grandparents' party today.
