YOu've got to have your head in the sand if you don't see another Civil War comming our way. This nation is more devided than ever. Our ideologies will continue to separate us. We have a leftist socialist agenda driven party that will bring this nation down to stay in power. Driven by the socialist media, the left will stop at nothing.

I'd agree about the basic premise that the two sides are becoming more and more polarized and that a breaking point may come. But I still don't understand who you're going to rebel against. In other words, if Bush is assassinated, which I pray God may not happen, he represents the government, so how do you rebel against the government? A civil war is a rebellion against the government and an attempt to usurp the existing government. If you are merely planning to fight liberals, how does that happen? How do you tell which of your neighbors are liberal so that you may shoot them? To save my life I couldn't tell you which of my neighbors are liberal. And once they are identified, do you just shoot them all? They're civilians. Even during America's Civil War civilians did not kill their neighbors. The whole scenario is difficult to envision.

To be honest I think our energies are more likely to have to be directed against outside attack, from terrorist Islamists, than from our next-door neighbors. Homeland Security is not going to be successful at fending off attacks forever. There are millions of Muslims out there who are possible terrorist attackers, and as Dr. Rice remarked, we have to be successful at finding and arresting them 100% of the time; they only need to be successful in their efforts once, so more attacks certainly will come.
