Drudge: Secret Service on Trail of Presidential Assassins

A worried Matt Drudge reported on his radio show tonight that the Secret Service is on the trail of several people intent on assassinating President Bush.

Drudge said the news story is not his, but that "those in the know" know what he's talking about.

He said more will be reported in the coming days.

Drudge pleaded with his fellow Americans to let the political process play out and to not descend to killing presidential candidates.

Option 2 is worrisome. Assuming Bush wins with at least 1 vote to spare, they will have one of his electors vote for Cheney instead to prevent this (then the House would pick Cheney).

Of course, if 4 Kerry electors vote 2 each for two random Democrats, this won't work, Kerry and the 2 random Democrats will get voted on by the House instead. If this happens, and Bush gets assassinated between the electors voting and their votes being read, I don't want to think about what will happen.

I cant imagine anyone standing for Bush winning the election and then because he was killed, the opposition party took office. No way that would fly, especially if it wasnt close.

I suppose it could happen if the president and vice president were both out of action and the speaker of the house was from the opposition party.

OK, I did think about it. The GOP-controlled House delegations would abstain on every vote, the House would deadlock, and it would go to the Senate, which would pick Cheney.

Then it would be payback time.

They're TERRIFIED because they know with some measure of certainty that 2, and probably 3 US Supreme Court justices will be retiring and will be replaced. And they will be replaced with true conservatives.

They WON'T be able to continue slaughtering and butchering children and calling it "choice" any more.

They WON'T be able to get "gay marriage" approved.

Much of our Founder's original Constitutional intent will re-surface (the EPA will get "smacked down" by private property ownership.)

The fictitious "wall of separation of church and state" that is used only to keep pastors from preaching about the vile, sick, twisted, and deranged state of those in politics will be broken down.

The "Newspeak" will be done away with.

And the list goes on. The left WOULD ATTEMPT TO ASSASSINATE THE PRESIDENT TO STOP THIS.

You know what I just remembered .. it's been 2-3 months ago that the dems started talking about Bush's "dirty tricks" .. and then I see that same statement in Burkett's email. I find that very interesting because IIRC the Bush forged docs have been in the possession of the dems for several months.

If there is an assassination plot I don't think that the electors would be in on it. If for some insane reason they did attempt this plan it would be sufficient evidence of treason. What would probably happen would be that the House, Senate, and Supreme Court would probably all agree to ignore the Constitution (as if they don't every day) and just make Cheney president. If the Democrats spoke up with one word of complaint they would be shot, possibly starting CW2. I wonder how a Civil War would be conducted in the modern US. Because we essentially have a democracy just getting the enemy to submit doesn't work. After the fighting died down we'd just get more elections, possibly with results contrary to the force that just won. So I think there would be an effort to get voter registration rolls and there would be a bloodbath.

I've had it since the President told us to look at the memos.. I was doing an editorial and it took me a few minutes to realize Matt Drudge just said assisinate the President ... it was weird.. I was working on a post and it just went past me... well then something really odd happened.. when writing post #143 I was inducted into the service via the web. My right Hand is on the Bible...
