No, the show was speaking about Niederer. The were covering her 'arrest' at Laura Bush's event.

I do believe they mentioned the group. I don't remember the name of it off hand.

This same mother would be bragging about her son if he had come home alive, a decorated hero.

She really damages the memory of her son by blaming it on anyone but the terrorists.

He joined because of her cheap bastard husband wouldn't pay for his college tuition. He was apparently not willing to get a job to pay for it either.

What nonsense. His mother is an activist for Code Pink, a communist organization. His father is a detective and unlike the mother, is proud of the son, and the son was proud of being in the military. He, just like any responsible young man, sought to acquire a college education the RIGHT way- by being responsible instead of waiting for a handout. And in this country, any responsible person can pay for their college without the help of mom and dad or even the federal government. It's called getting a job- and jobs are available either in the military or the private sector. It's all a matter of choice.

Did you ever hear her say that or was that just addlebrained relatives or a reporter's wishful thinking- like Jayson Blair's? He is the guy who fabricated Lynch stories from thin air after all- the NY Times was embarassed enough they booted him off the team. I suspect that was all reporter's wishful thinking- not the Dan Rather agitprop company, CBS, was the one that tried to get her to OK a movie deal and the like and it seems I recall them saying they were thinking of doing 'her story' whether or not she gave them approval, most likely because she was sickened by all the coverage and fake sympathy from the press herself.

"Seth, who had no training with explosives, was assigned to find enemy remote-controlled bombs."

Gee, they just sent him out there to do that with no training. I can just speculate that this would apply to roughly "all" Army Combat Engineers. What maroon wrote this?

Well, when you join the army "for skills" you must remember that the army is first and foremost an army, so when the army goes to war....well do we really HAVE to read between the lines for everyone?

We had the same thing here with long-term enlistees, who started bleating about the fact they only joined the army for an education. There are not two armies. When you're not deployed, you can take classes, training, etc. When at war, and your company deploys, you play army. You may not like that, but you cannot tell me that the recruiter failed to inform you of the possibility. And, since the army requires a HS diploma, as a minimum, you must be smart enough to figure out the meaning of the word 'army'. But then again, we had a president who wasn't sure of the meaning of the word 'is'...so who knows? Maybe we need to raise the standard a bit higher.
