Sorry, can't buy that. It may not be GENETIC, but it almost certainly has some physiological root(s). My own personal suspicion is that it is a "birth defect" caused by some chemical or hormonal imbalance to which the developing fetus is exposed to while in gestation.
Sure, "some" homosexual behavior is simply due to brainwashing of sexually immature individuals by "chicken hawks"---but not all of it.
I vaguely recall reading about some German research in which homosexual tendencies were reversed by simple hormonal adjustment.
